What is privacy?

Privacy is about the right to privacy and the right to decide on one's own personal data. 

 

Processing of personal data

In order for you to shop at Porten til Nord-Norge AS, we need your contact details, such as name, address, e-mail and mobile number. We must have the above data in order to send the goods to you, as well as to contact you if there are any questions/problems with your order. This is also information we must have in connection with accounting etc. The basis for this can be found in GDPR article 6(1) b), i.e. in order for us to be able to fulfill an agreement with the data subject, i.e. with you as a customer.

Your contact information will therefore be stored with us for as long as is required by the applicable accounting law. For security reasons, we also store the IP address used to register the order. Information that is not relevant will not be stored or processed.

We use anonymized data as much as possible, so that we can use this to further develop our online store. We therefore collect statistics on traffic, behavior and purchases.

In order to be able to run an online store, we depend on partners for e.g. shipping and payment services.

- Posten, Bring og Helt Hjem | Transport of goods to you as a customer

- Klarna, Nets, Stripe, ViPPS | Payment service

 

Deletion of personal data

As a company, we have a duty to make arrangements for you as a customer with us to safeguard your rights, such as correction and deletion of personal data. We must also ensure at all times that the information we have registered about you is of good quality and is correct. You can find more about this in the Privacy Principles (see article 5 of the privacy regulation). 

As a customer with us, you have the right to access the personal data that ptnn.no or Porten til Nord-Norge AS has registered in accordance with current legislation. You can request to receive this information at any time. At the same time, you can at any time ask us to correct or delete your personal data, provided that we are not obliged to store them in accordance with applicable legislation or other obligations we have. If you want your personal data to be deleted, this will be done in a secure way.

You have the right to complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority if you feel that your personal data is not being processed in accordance with this declaration.

 

Marketing

We send out newsletters via e-mail so that you as a customer can receive various types of information and offers from us. Receiving newsletters is voluntary, and you will only receive this if you have given clear consent. If you no longer wish to receive newsletters from us, you can easily unsubscribe by either contacting us or by clicking on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all our newsletters.

We continuously want to give you as a customer the best experience, both before, during and after a transaction with us. Some of these cookies must be in place for the online shop to function, for example that it remembers which items you have put in the shopping basket when you get to the checkout, where you are on the page and whether you chat with us or not.

We collect and store log data to see what our customers are interested in, so that we can offer an even better product selection. This includes, among other things, which products and categories are clicked on, which products are searched for, etc. 

We use cookies to recognize you when you return to our store, as well as cookies to be able to register and to complete an order.

Information cookies we use

Google Analytics: Google Analytics is used to analyze and measure traffic on the website. No personal data is stored, only anonymised data. Read Google's privacy statement here.

WIX: We use WIX to be able to make our online store more interesting for you by displaying personalized content. We can thus give you better recommendations on relevant products for you based on previous visits and purchases as well as which products you have visited and looked at. We also send out an e-mail with the items you have added to the basket if the purchase is canceled at checkout.

 

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to change the privacy policy at any time. The latest and current version of the privacy policy will always be available at ptnn.no or on request. If we make major or significant changes to our privacy practices, we will notify you of this.
